Duties

The incumbent serves as Information Management Assistant (IMA). The IMA functions under the overall responsibility of the Information Systems Officer and the direct supervision of the Deputy Information Systems Officer, and performs all tasks and duties outlined below. The field of responsibility is applicable to the Consulates in Frankfurt and Dusseldorf. All duties will be performed within the guidelines laid down by the Department of State and the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) developed by ISC. Where appropriate, verbal instructions provided by ISC Management will take priority. The IMA will typically be assigned responsibility for one or more sites; however, rotational duty at all regional sites will ensure incumbent's exposure to all aspects of ISC operations at this post. The IMA will be expected to perform the full range of duties without direct supervision when solely manning one of Frankfurt's systems locations, and when doing after-hours or shift work.


Qualifications and Evaluations

Requirements:

EXPERIENCE: Two (2) years of progressively responsible experience in systems implementation, network administration, and/or IT hardware and software administration.

Education Requirements:

Mandatory: Completion of at least two (2) years of technical/vocational training or college is required.

Evaluations:

LANGUAGE: Mandatory: English (Good Working Knowledge; speaking reading, & writing). This will be tested.
