Scope of the Role
Ensure correct processing and posting of invoices and system-side support of creditors
- Prepare month-end accruals in close collaboration with the Head of Finance
- Collaborate with external accountant firm to prepare management accounts according to schedule
- Support financial audits (US-GAAP and HGB)
- Closely cooperate with Headquarters functions on all cash issues and propose transfers
- Periodic review of Cash Flow with Head of Finance
- Provide financial department at HQ in Paris with reporting documents in line with due dates
- Manage selective duties during Cost Budgeting and Forecasting in GPS
- Assist Marketing, Sales & Medical department in managing their budget vs actuals Liaise with Financial department at HQ
- Support Office Management with cost calculations, requests for pricing, and contracts
- Oversee and manage travel & expense management systems
- Manage German & Austrian Dual System for disposing of packages
- Manage own projects and support other projects from the Finance side
- Providing analyses and reporting according to US-GAAP
- Responsible for P&L management in close coordination with the Country Manager AT & CH as well as advising the business partners on the achievement of targets and the definition of KPIs
- Steering of budget planning, forecast and strategic plan processes
- Developing business plans and forecasts and driving projects forward from a finance perspective
- Weekly and/or monthly reporting and controlling (e.g. sales, P&L, monthly business review, new launches, CAPEX, treasury, intercompany declaration, reconciliation)
- Matters of general finance- and compliance-related administration (contracts, SOPs)
- Coordination of controlling and accounting interfaces on DACH level, especially in the context of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, SOX, process improvements and system implementations
Experience Required
- Completed commercial studies with a focus on finance / controlling / accounting or similar
- At least 3 years' experience in a comparable position, FMCG and/or consumer self-care experience an advantage
- Very good SAP R/3 FI, CO and BO knowledge as well as experience in working with JD Edwards
- Excellent HGB, UGB, US-GAAP and SOX knowledge
- Fluent German and very good English skills
- Independent and goal-oriented approach with a hands-on mentality
- Strong business orientation
